It's Our Anniversary!
Our next meeting is Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church, 8260 Cypress Lakes Dr, Fort Myers. Meeting will be held from 1pm - 4pm. Doors open at noon for the fabric sale. Our speaker will be Emma Seabrooke. Emma trained in France and took many fashion design courses in college while obtaining her degree. She has been fashion sewing since age six. We have confirmed reservations for our 2018 retreat being held at the Lake Placid Camp & Convention Center. Community Sew Information
Community Sew has a new permanent location: United Way Building 7273 Concourse Way Fort Myers, FL (Driving about 1/4 mile past Lakes Regional Library, toward McGregor, turn left off of Gladiolus onto Concourse and then it's 2 blocks down on the right. All of our supplies are at an off-site storage unit and help is needed to transport supplies both to and from the Community Sew. A Visit From Judy Kessinger

Our Scholarship Recipient
Congratulations to Allison for her hard work and dedication to the art of sewing and for her interest in persuing a degree in costume design for theater and film. Allison has been awarded our chapter's scholarship to help with her studies at the University of Central Florida. Allison has always loved to sew and is completely self-taught. She not only honed her skills via books and the internet, but worked as the costume designer for American Stage Theater's Educational Tour
